Cambridge Galleries / Design at Riverside, presents the exhibit 5%: AGAINST THE ODDS  CANADIAN WOMEN IN INDUSTRIAL DESIGN. 5% is the statistic most frequently quoted as the percentage of women currently practicing in the field of Industrial Design. The 5% exhibition celebrates the work of seven established Canadian women industrial designers whose national and international success defies the odds.

5% presents Canadian designers, Helen Kerr (Toronto); Diane Bisson (Montreal); Dianne Croteau (Toronto); Rachel Dacks (Savannah); Patty Johnson (Toronto); Cynthia Hathaway (the Hague); Michelle Ivankovic (Amsterdam).

The exhibition will be accompanied by a publication including images and statements from each of the designer in the 5% exhibit, with an introductory essay by exhibit curator Esther E. Shipman.
