

Homer Watson House & Gallery, built in 1835, is the homestead of Homer Watson, Canada’s first noted landscape artist. The Gallery, constructed in 1906, is one of the oldest operating galleries in Ontario. Today HWHG presents a series of local, contemporary art exhibitions and a museum space dedicated to Homer Watson. Visual art programs, special events and rentals are also offered to the local community. HWHG is open to the public Tuesday – Sunday, 12:00 – 4:30. The Canadian Clay and Glass Gallery is the pride and cultural jewel of the City of Waterloo. The Gallery presents critically acclaimed and much appreciated exhibitions of regional, national, and international contemporary clay and glass artists. The Kitchener-Waterloo Art Gallery connects people and ideas through art. Established in 1956, KW|AG is the oldest and largest public art gallery in the region. The Gallery features contemporary art and also regularly incorporates selections from the 4,000 work permanent collection in its exhibitions. KW|AG also commissions the creation of new work. A registered charity, the Gallery operates from a 23,500 square foot, purpose-built facility located in Kitchener’s Centre In The Square, one of the finest performing arts halls in North America.
