The Walper Hotel is a 120 year-old landmarked Canadian hotel located in downtown Kitchener and is also a partner with GetOffOnArt.com [offering a special rates for an overnight art-focused getaway to the galleries of in the Waterloo Region). The hotel recently concluded a renovation and redecoration initiative which includes placing over 80 original works of art in both the renovated rooms and hotel public spaces. Hotel owner Michael von Teichman initiated the "Walper Art Project" to not only embellish the property, but to also promote awareness and appreciation of contemporary Canadian art, exhibiting work by well-known Canadian artists such as Charles Pachter and Robert Achtemichuk (whose works can be found in museums across the country) and many other artists from our region.

Throughout the hotel is a mix of photographs, prints and other works on paper and all of the work exhibited throughout the hotel is available for sale and can be purchased at the hotel's front desk or online.
